Inspirec Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement 2023

Introduction

This Statement has been published in accordance with the Modern Slavery Act 2015 (“the Act”). It sets out the steps taken by Inspirec Ltd (“Inspirec”) to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking in its operations.

Inspirec fully supports the aims of the Act and recognises that slavery and human trafficking is a global issue which needs to be addressed by all companies within all industries.

Our Business was founded almost a decade ago, we have built on our successes, moving from web design to application development to scalable software solutions and consultancy for SMEs, global media companies and government departments, all of whom have benefitted from our level-headed software solutions.

What we do

We problem solve. We know that might seem simplistic, but bear with us, because the considered, thought-through approach that leads to overcoming complex challenges in software development has this at its core.

We apply this mindset to all parts of the process. We build software, consult on scaling existing products and supply the people who can do it best for you whilst blending into your company’s culture seamlessly.

This joined-up methodology, fusing our knowledge and practical expertise to build, consult and recruit, offers our clients full transparency, complete control and measurable, real-world value.

As developers first and foremost, we know the terrain like the back of our hand, and are in the best possible place to guide you safely through the digital landscape

How we do it

We work transparently and as part of your team. You’ll find us in-house or remote – whatever works best for you – but the one place you’ll never find us is behind the walls of an agency.

We’ll carry out research to gain a full understanding of your needs and culture and, from there, collaboration is key. We’ll work alongside your team to either consult or build using Agile methodologies with short design and build sprints that keep us focussed, and your project on track.

In order to future-proof our work and your business, we work with the most up-to-date technologies to find bespoke, open-source and secure software solutions against a backdrop of blockchain, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.

Modern slavery is the illegal exploitation of people for personal or commercial gain and encompasses slavery, servitude, human trafficking and forced labour. Inspirec has a zero-tolerance approach to any form of modern slavery and is committed to ensuring effective systems and restrictions are in place to protect against it.

Inspirec is dedicated to corporate social responsibility and as such believes in acting ethically throughout our business.

Risk Analysis

Ours is a people business. We neither manufacture products, nor do we usually directly procure products for clients. We need to attract and retain top talent while building a diverse, inclusive workforce that delivers exceptional client service.

We consider the nature of the industry in which we operate means the risk of indentured or bonded labour being used within our sphere of influence is lower than in some other industries; however, we are not complacent about this and the procedures for ensuring that we do not engage or condone suppliers who engage in modern slavery continue to develop rigorously.

Policies and Practices

Our “Whistleblowing Policy” document, which is readily available and globally applicable to all staff and suppliers; sets out our commitment to uphold human right in all global relationship, as well as our zero-tolerance policy in relation to modern slavery and human trafficking. This policy enables anyone within our company to easily report any issues, which in turn will be taken seriously and investigated accordingly. If any deficiencies in compliance were to be uncovered, remediation plans may be devised to address the deficiencies but failure to comply may also result in termination of the relationship.

Further Action

We will continue to monitor the effectiveness of our actions against modern slavery and human trafficking, ensuring our new and existing measures support our zero tolerance to modern slavery. Our next steps may include further education of our employees on the issues of modern slavery. Also, we will endeavour to ensure training is provided should this be a necessity to make awareness to modern slavery.
